Spaar de Bomen (Save The Trees)
This little book was published in 2007, in honour of the 50th anniversary of the Nationale Boomfeestdag. This book is not part of the book collection of Jo Bömer, but it is part of my own. It has only 32 pages, and Irene van Lippe-Biesterfeld wrote the preface. The book is about the start and importance of the Nationale Boomfeestdag, for the living environment in our cities and villages. The book is easy to read and tells you more about the properties and practical value of the tree, including a picture of the tree, the leaf, the stem, and the fruits. It also comes with 4 stamp sheets, each of them showing 2 trees in the four seasons: spring, summer, fall, and winter, and the most important properties, which are crown, height, twigs, flowers, leaf, fruits, and bark.
It is a very nice, but also very interesting book for both tree lovers and philatelists.
